  • Acupuncturist

Pam holds a Masters Degree in both Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holds an active license in Massachusetts from the board of medicine. She attended New England School of Acupuncture and earned a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

After graduating as a dance major with a BFA from The Juilliard School in New York, Pam began her journey into health care. Helped by massage many times as a dancer, she decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. Upon graduation from the Swedish Institute, (studying both western massage and shiatsu), Pam established a successful practice in NYC while also working at both Columbia Presbyterian and Mt. Sinai hospitals. In 1998 she relocated to Boston and built a thriving practice in Brookline. Her study of shiatsu exposed her to the world of eastern medicine, which sparked a desire to expand her knowledge of the healing arts, enabling her to work more holistically with her patients. This led her to the New England School of Acupuncture, where she studied acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Pam has a unique understanding of the body in motion, as well as the anatomy and physiology behind movement. She possesses an innate sense of where the muscles are, and how they work together to move the body. Chinese medicine, like dance, requires a high level of body-awareness and knowledge of its inter-connectedness. Both emphasize being centered and balanced, without being stiff and stagnant. Pam incorporates this knowledge into every treatment, tailoring it to the patient’s individual needs.

Passionate about learning, Pam continues to enhance her practice with post -graduate studies, including strategies for supporting cancer treatment with Chinese herbs, supporting fertility and endocrine function with Chinese herbs, treatment of chronic immune system diseases with Chinese herbs, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, and acupuncture-point combinations for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis & Crohn’s Disease.
